ALTIPLANIC LAGOONS Private Excursion · Full Day

Departure from Uyuni aboard a private 4x4 vehicle to explore some of the most spectacular landscapes of the southern Bolivian Altiplano. The journey begins at the historic Train Cemetery and continues through former mining villages such as San Cristóbal and Kulpina K, on the route toward the Desierto de los Lipez.

The adventure continues to the impressive Valle de las Rocas, a surreal landscape of giant natural rock formations sculpted by wind erosion over thousands of years.
Later, we will visit Laguna Turquiri and the emblematic lagoons of Cañapa and Hedionda, natural refuges for Andean flamingos, ducks, Andean geese, and a remarkable variety of high-Andean birdlife inhabiting these extraordinary ecosystems.

At Laguna Hedionda, we will enjoy a short and easy walk to appreciate the scenery, wildlife, and the vast immensity of the Bolivian Altiplano. Return to Uyuni in the late afternoon after an unforgettable day among deserts, lagoons, and unique Andean landscapes.
