ALTIPLANIC LAGOONS & UYUNI SALT FLATS TOUR 2 Days / 1 Night

Departure from Uyuni aboard a private 4x4 vehicle to explore the most emblematic landscapes of the Desierto de los Lipez. The journey begins at the historic Train Cemetery and continues through former mining villages such as San Cristóbal and Kulpina K.

During the day, we will visit the impressive lagoons of Cañapa and Hedionda, important high-Andean ecosystems inhabited by flamingos, vicuñas, vizcachas, and a remarkable variety of Altiplano bird species.

The route continues through the Valle de las Rocas and the Salar de Chiguana, extraordinary natural landscapes that reflect the silent beauty of the Bolivian Altiplano.

Overnight in the native community of San Juan del Rosario.

After breakfast, we begin the exploration of the majestic Uyuni Salt Flats, the largest salt desert in the world.

During the excursion, we will visit Pia Pia Island and Incahuasi Island, where we will walk among giant cacti and ancient fossilized corals while enjoying spectacular panoramic views of the endless white landscape. We will also visit the Flags Square, the first Salt Hotel, monumental salt sculptures, the Salt Labyrinth, and the famous Eyes of the Salt Flats.

At sunset, we will enjoy one of the most memorable moments of the journey with an exclusive sunset experience accompanied by Bolivian wine, cheeses, cold cuts, and hot beverages in the middle of the immense white horizon.

Return to Uyuni after sunset.
